It’s time to say goodbye again to my loved ones in El Salvador, the kids at Remar El Salvador, Remar Sanmiguel, Remar Santa Ana, local friends, and volunteers. We have completed another successful trip. Not to mention, the first ever Mobile Dental Clinic 100 Smiles Project has ever ran. Not only did we provide love and care to the children but we provided the gift of health. A healthy heart, starts with healthy teeth, and I couldn’t have done that without the help of big hearts.
A total of 120 smiles at orphanages were treated by Dr. Brad Labrecque and Dr.Nazita Gaff who volunteered many hours in a small 2 chair mobile clinic, which ended up getting really uncomfortably hot. They pushed through uncomfortable hot temperatures in the clinic (the air conditioner broke down) to properly treat these children (they even skipped lunch). I was blessed when I received a phone call from Dr. Labrecque when he told me he wanted to join me on this journey.
I had an idea to run a Mobile Dental Clinic 6 months ago. And it happened! After 3 years of starting 100 Smiles Project, I can’t believe it has come this far. Thank you to all volunteers, Brad Labrecque, Nazita Gaff, Andrea Castellanos, Amanda Thomas, Wen' Herrera, Baltazar Cañas Monroy, Brett Millard, Dr. Oscar, Dr. John Leland, Matt Braden, Nelson R Marroquín, Edwin Quezada and everyone at home who donated and shared the fundraising campaign. Without your support, this wouldn’t have been successful. Words cannot express how I’m feeling right now. I am so blessed and couldn’t be more happier.
Next trip is April 22-29, 2016. Email info!@100smilesproject.org if you're interested!
